Looking for a role where you support the Heads of Buying and C&E in the briefing and development of the Regatta, Dare2B, Professional and Craghoppers footwear and C&E?
If so, we have an opportunity for a Junior Category Manager - Footwear, C&E, to join our Product team!
The impact you will have in this role is:
1. To support the Heads of Buying and C&E in the briefing and development of the Regatta, Dare2B, Professional and Craghoppers footwear and C&E ranges to meet sales turnover targets, using detailed analysis of overall range efficiency, product performance and competitor research.
2. Market research of the footwear and C&E ranges led across UK and Europe, with in-depth understanding gained of the Regatta key wholesale customer and own multi-channel distribution - retail, online and concessions.
3. Working closely with the merchandising team and the Heads of footwear and C&E to analyse and understand the sales and purchases data vs sales targets by channel, country, customers, etc.
4. Product range documentation and systems kept up to date as required with product and colours set up on PLM, with cross-functional teams informed on updates.
5. The handover and development of the new ranges led with the design teams to the Xiamen office.
6. Queries with the Xiamen team clarified promptly with all development samples and salesman samples available for key meetings.
7. The Xiamen team worked alongside with on-time delivery of all own range orders and any delays/early orders communicated to merchandising.
8. Technical expertise offered with new marketing and product stories and concepts built for own range.
9. Correct bullet points and performance claims for each product are issued to Marketing.
10. Delivery on time of all samples - development, marketing and salesman samples - liaising with the relevant teams to ensure samples are available for key meetings and milestones as per the corporate calendar.
11. Collaboration with the wholesale, retail, concession and web teams with a clear product selection and pricing strategy ensured, as well as presentation of the footwear, C&E products, both in-store and online.
12. Exclusive product offers created with the sales and customer teams, development of additional licensing ranges.
13. Clear and effective communication of product on all sales channels through collaboration with the Marketing team.
14. Involved in price negotiations with suppliers in Asia directly and/or via our China office.
15. To work with the Heads of Footwear and C&E, and the team in Xiamen to put in place a solid sourcing strategy, with products delivered at best prices on time and to an excellent quality - measured by achieved target margin, delivery/lead times reports and quality ratings. Transparency and compliance of the footwear, C&E supply base with the Regatta Group Ethical sourcing code of conduct.
16. Products are developed and produced, meeting the required compliance standards across all sales markets. Close work with the Head of Technical and Compliance for Regatta and kept up to date with all legislation. Ensure compliance product files are always up to date and reporting is carried out timely as well.
17. Departmental targets for product systems and corporate calendar are met for the footwear and C&E division.
18. Sample Management, Admin and General Housekeeping.
19. Work with other Team members on the fitting (FTW) and wear (FTW) trialing of samples.
As our future Junior Category Manager - Footwear, C&E you will have:
1. Strong market knowledge of the outdoor footwear, camping & equipment industry.
2. Keep up to date with technical and design developments within the industry and our competitors.
3. Carry out detailed competitor analysis.
4. Knowledge of the outdoor, workwear and sportswear footwear, camping and equipment brands and markets.
5. Experience in the management of the creation, product development, sourcing and delivery of branded products.
6. Understanding of overseas sourcing.
7. High attention to detail.
8. Excellent communicator at all levels.
9. Driven to achieve.
10. Competent user of the Microsoft Office package.
11. Computer literate.
12. Ability to pick up the use of systems quickly and effectively.
