Position: Youth Worker
Start Date: ASAP
Working Hours: Full-time, 08:30 - 15:30
Pay Rate: From £85 per day
We need a committed Youth Worker to join a supportive team in Bradford, working closely with SEN students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and supporting small groups of secondary-age pupils.
- Provide support to SEN students, focusing on those with ASD.
- Work effectively with small groups, fostering engagement and positive behaviour.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils to enhance their learning experience.
- Experience as a Youth Worker or in a similar role with secondary-age students.
- Proven ability to support SEN pupils, especially those with ASD.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to managing challenging behaviour.
- Previous experience in a school setting (preferred).
- Background in primary or SEN education (advantageous).
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, though training will be provided).
