Job Description
Investment Engineer
12 Month Contract
Warwick (Hybrid working)
About the role:
You’ll spend a lot of your time as a Project Development Engineer asking for money to fund critical works to our UK Gas Infrastructure.
Using ND500 (Gas Network Development Process), you’ll take projects from conception to initiation, shaping the project then ensuring we have the correct funding for each stage of the process. To do this, you’ll need to gather all the relevant information, decide what the project should look like and present it to the sanctioning committee to have funding released.
You’ll work closely with the project delivery team, acting as a conduit to your internal and external stakeholders. These stakeholders need to be engaged throughout the process as you’ll need their backing. Each project is solving a problem; you’ll translate this into something that your stakeholders can both understand and engage with. Once you’ve taken a project through the various stages and it begins, you’ll be involved in reporting on progress and ensuring the project delivers on its aims.
What we're looking for:
Essential -
1. Background in engineering (ideally gas or utilities)
2. Ability to translate business plans into investment plans
3. Experience writing sanction papers (or similar)
4. Stakeholder management skills
5. Full UK car driving licence
Desirable -
1. HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
2. Chartered or incorporated engineer status
Note – if you do not hear back within 48 hours of applying, please assume you have been unsuccessful on this occasion
