Job summary The purpose of this role is to provide effective and efficient clerical, reception and administration support within the Paediatric Audiology Department ensuring that administration processes meet the needs of all service users. The post holder will be expected to use their own initiative and work independently often without supervision The post holder will work alongside other members of the Paediatric Audiology Department reporting to the Service Manager. They will liaise with the Paediatric Audiology Co-ordinator, Service Delivery Manager, Consultant Audiological Physician and Head of Audiology Services providing help and support where necessary. They will work closely with patients and relatives, the main Audiology Department, Satellite clinics, Hospital Wards, The New-born Hearing Screening Service, Education Services, Social Services, GP surgeries, Health Visitors, other hospital departments and other NHS Trusts. In addition to ensuring good communication with external hearing aid companies and earmould manufacturers used by the service.
