As the Lead Midwife for Fetal Medicine, you will take charge of managing complex fetal issues, providing effective clinical leadership and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT). Main duties of the job To provide clinical and managerial leadership within the fetal medicine team and will lead and coordinate midwives to provide midwifery care for women during the fetal medicine pathway. To provide effective clinical leadership and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team ensuring close liaison with the Lead Midwife in Screening and the Lead Sonographer. To provide mentorship to midwives and students in a supportive environment for learning and development. To work closely with other teams working together to meet local and national quality, safety and regulatory standards To sensitively support women, their families and staff throughout the diagnosis, complex invasive tests and termination of pregnancy for fetal abnormality.
