About The Role
Are you an experienced Theatre Nurse or ODP? Do you have the passion to make a difference to patients? Are you looking to pick up adhoc or additional hours to fit around your other responsibilities?
We are looking for multi-skilled practitioners with post-qualification experience to join our bank team at a Good rated, modern, purpose-built Hospital. As part of our professional, friendly, and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard.
This vacancy is offering a bank/flexi contract, offering shifts to cover annual leave, sickness, or increase in workload.
What you'll be doing
Working as part of a friendly, welcoming, and expert multidisciplinary Theatre Team supported by our Theatre Manager. There is no night working, no Sundays, no bank holidays, and there is no on-call! You can have more time to do the things you love doing.
You will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. This role will enable you to develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving, and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation.
It goes without saying privacy and confidentiality are key throughout the team and you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for “total patient” care in the perioperative phase.
What we’ll look for in you
You will be/have;
1. Part 1 registered NMC Nurse with experience or a HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner with experience in Scrub or Anaesthetics.
2. Be up to date with current research and developments in theatre practice; you will have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
3. Comfortable being responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment.
