Job summary Deputy Associate Director - Surgery, Critical Care & Diagnostics Care Group We are looking for an experienced and collaborative leader to join our Surgery, Critical Care & Diagnostics Care Group as Deputy Associate Director of Operations. You will help deliver operational efficiency and financial sustainability while working with a diverse team to ensure excellent patient care and achieve performance goals. Focus areas include working with teams to manage resources, governance, performance, financial oversight, and service level agreements. Additionally, you'll support the leadership team with strategic planning and to foster a culture of continuous improvement aligned with the Trust's Caring Together goals. Main duties of the job Reporting into the Associate Director of Operations, your responsibilities will include: Financial & Budget Oversight : Manage budgets and work with Finance partners to ensure sustainability. Service & Value Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery, focusing on patient-centred, cost-effective care. Quality & Performance : Drive patient care improvements, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliance with targets and safety standards. Planning & Strategy : Support annual planning, including strategy, capacity, and resource allocation; write business cases for growth. Workforce Management : Lead job planning and address workforce capacity needs. External Partnerships : Manage service agreements and represent the Care Group at external events. Leadership & Governance : Lead governance practices, manage teams, and foster a collaborative work culture.
