This full-time position is a temporary to permanent role, providing an opportunity to work with students with special educational needs in an inclusive and supportive environment. As a SEND Classroom Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of your students. You will work closely with support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes both academic and social development. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative lessons that cater to the individual needs of SEND students. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other support staff to create a nurturing classroom environment. Provide targeted support to students with learning difficulties, including autism and communication challenges. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive student support. Maintain a safe and structured classroom environment conducive to learning. Contribute to the school’s broader initiatives aimed at enhancing student well-being and achievement. Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in teaching SEND students is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of SEND teaching methods. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students, parents, and staff. Relevant teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCE, QTS). A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
