Our client, a leading Further Education college in Cambridge, is seeking an experienced and passionate Lecturer in Carpentry to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop the next generation of skilled carpenters in a well-equipped learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment in Carpentry at various levels.
* Develop engaging lesson plans and practical sessions that meet curriculum requirements.
* Support and mentor students, ensuring their progress and achievement.
* Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
* Contribute to curriculum development and course planning.
* Ensure health and safety compliance in workshop and practical sessions.
Requirements:
* Recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
* Relevant Carpentry qualifications (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Industry experience in Carpentry/Joinery.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* A passion for education and developing students’ practical skills.
