SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) Location: Chesterfield Start Date: January 2024 or ASAP Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Initially pay-rolled through Tradewind Recruitment) We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SENCO to join our vibrant primary school in Chesterfield. Our school includes a nursery and an Integrated Resource Unit that supports children with additional needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced professional to make a real difference in the lives of primary-aged children. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the school's Special Educational Needs provision. Work closely with the Integrated Resource Unit to support children with complex needs, including those with challenging behaviour. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. Develop and implement strategies to address the challenges faced by children with additional needs. Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive practices and SEND-related matters.Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). National Award for SEN Coordination (SENCO Qualification). Extensive understanding of the challenges faced by primary-aged children with additional needs, including those with behavioural difficulties.
