Job Title - GDASS Domestic Abuse Support Worker Location - Gloucester Salary - £24,140.00 ( £750 Car Allowance) per annum Contract type - Permanent Working hours - Full Time (37 hours per week) Closing Date - 4 th November 2024 Interview Date - W/C 11 th November About the role Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of GreenSquareAccord) www.gdass.org.uk, GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16) living in Gloucestershire. In addition to a range of support services, GDASS also operate a helpline. We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work as part of the Helpdesk and Floating Support teams; supporting clients at standard and medium risk to live a life free from domestic abuse. Identifying risk and creating support plans based around risk and moving on from domestic abuse. This includes providing advocacy, supporting them to understand the dynamics of abuse and signposting / referring into other support services. Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer. About you It is essential you have the following: - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. - Excellent knowledge of domestic abuse legislation. - Excellent organisation and administration skills. - Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, courtesy, tact and diplomacy - A good awareness of the diverse needs of customers - Experience of providing trauma informed support to people; managing complex, sensitive client queries whilst remaining calm - Experience of DASH completion.
