Position: ER Case Manager
Location: Remote
Type: Full time, 6-month Fixed Term
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum dependent on experience
Here at Serco, we are looking for an ER Case Manager to provide professional advice and support for a complex restructuring project predominantly remotely via telephone and email, although face-to-face support will be occasionally required. You will provide pragmatic and pro-active day-to-day redundancy consulting/guidance for a team of Case Advisors, covering all areas of restructuring including redundancy and changes in terms and conditions.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee cases successfully from beginning to resolution within the area of responsibility and ensure complete query resolution and timely closure of individual consultation meetings.
2. Work in partnership with the business and SPP to provide strong professional HR advice and support strategic HR decisions at all levels of the organisation.
3. Provide a proactive and/or "on demand" advisory and consultancy service to direct reports on issues relating to restructure activity and policies consistent with employee standards, legislation, and guidelines.
4. Manage the end-to-end and timely closure of individual consultations through a team of ER Advisors who will conduct individual consultations and via ER Admin who will provide scheduling and filing support.
5. Ensure all activities are accurately logged on the People Services case management system, updated regularly, and documents stored in employee files as required by Serco.
6. Be a point of escalation for ER Advisors for more complex queries and provide day-to-day coaching as required.
7. Respond to complex queries and manage all aspects of issues across the employee lifecycle and support the Senior People Partner and People Solutions Partner on wider collective consultation as required.
8. Analyse people-related metrics, data, and trends to make recommendations to Senior People Partner and People Solutions Partner, and interventions with ER Advisors and Admin to address identified people issues across the business.
9. Provide effective advice to ensure that people management policy and guidance are in line with employment law, case law, and best practice.
10. Interpret and evaluate human resources operational guidelines and policies in relation to people-related activities within the restructuring activity.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A recognised HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent) preferred.
2. Have an up-to-date understanding and application of employment law and HR best practice.
3. Relationship Management Skills, e.g., influencing, stakeholder management, dealing with difficult conversations.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with People Services teams.
5. Ability to apply judgment to individual cases, make decisions, and manage risks.
6. Delivery-focused individual with the ability to work in a self-sufficient manner.
7. Ability to demonstrate presence and credibility within the organisation and manage key stakeholders.
8. A creative 'can-do' attitude and preparedness to meet new challenges.
9. Able to travel and work remotely as required.
