About the Head of Technical job
Ensure compliance is integrated across all business areas, guaranteeing products are manufactured to the highest safety and regulatory standards as well maintaining a documented system that captures all legal requirements within the organisation. You will be involved in both internal and supplier auditing to ensure continuous compliance, improvement, and adherence to food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key tasks
* Ensure HACCP, food safety and quality standards, and all legal requirements are communicated, understood, and applied.
* Provide expertise in Health & Safety, environmental, and technical matters, influencing business strategy and operational decisions.
* Identify and implement compliance KPIs to monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Embed sustainability and compliance across operations, ensuring a safe working environment and adherence to SHE standards.
* Manage a team (12-14 people) and support change initiatives and ensure compliance strategies are effectively implemented and understood.
About You
The successful candidate shall have previous experience in a technical role within food production with HACCP and BRC V9 experience, and a degree in food science or relevant subject.
Salary and Benefits
The Head of Technical job (ref:8878) is paying up to £70,000 + benefits according to your experience. The package includes private healthcare.
Location
The site is based in Essex and is commutable from Manningtree, Colchester, Halstead, Clacton on Sea, Braintree, Ipswich, Harwich and surrounding towns.
Working Hours
The working hours are Monday to Friday standard office hours; however, flexibility is required to meet necessary business needs.
