Hays are working with a leader in the construction industry to recruit an HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As an HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role within the HR team, providing expert HR guidance and support to managers and employees throughout the organisation. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
2. Support the onboarding and offboarding process for employees.
3. Assist managers with employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans, and advise on managing workplace absence and support organisational policies and practices.
4. Promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives.
5. Guide managers through performance review processes, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting reviews.
6. Stay updated on employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance and contribute to the development and updating of HR policies and procedures.
7. Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction.
8. Maintain accurate employee records and track HR metrics.
9. Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Previous experience in an HR advisory or generalist role.
2. Proven track record with HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
3. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
4. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficient with MS Office suite.
7. Knowledge of Oracle systems would be desirable.
8. CIPD part or fully qualified and/or 3rd level qualification in HR or a business-related discipline would be desirable.
What you'll get in return
1. Salary circa £33,000.
