Main duties of the job
As a key player in our Diabetes Specialist Nursing Service, you'll assess, plan, and implement tailored treatment plans for patients with diabetes, ensuring they receive top-notch care during their hospital stay. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to the organisation and delivery of specialised education and training for fellow healthcare professionals and caregivers, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing and excellence in diabetes management.
In this role, you'll work closely alongside Consultants, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and a stellar multidisciplinary team, playing an integral role in providing effective care for our inpatients. Your expertise and skills will not only inform your practice but also enhance the collective impact of our dedicated team.

Person Specification
Registration and Qualifications
* Current NMC registration
* Post basic qualification in diabetes or equivalent portfolio of evidence
* Recognised teaching qualification
* Non-Medical prescribing or willingness to undertake
Skill and Experience
* Experience of working in the field of diabetes and good clinical knowledge
* Evidence of proactive involvement in the mentorship of nurses
* Excellent interpersonal skills, evidence of development of own skill and knowledge
