Reporting to the Head of Data, you will support the implementation of the Data Strategy and Data Principle through the data architecture framework and data management capabilities. You’ll assist with the delivery of initiatives that provide data, digital and IT capabilities to support business needs, ensuring the security and integrity of systems and the high quality of data maintained within them. You will also: - Define and support the implementation of the data architecture framework and associated data standards and principles, identifying where standards are not currently met and proposing solutions. - Map how processes, systems and interfaces are used to collect, manage, view, archive and remove data. You’ll identify incomplete data flows and instances where data is challenging to source, working collaboratively to resolve. - Document critical data flows and define standards for where critical data is created, from inceptions to destruction. - Propose data design and integration patterns, ensuring compliance with data and architecture principles, monitoring the implementation of these. - Continuously look to leverage data capabilities and automate data architecture artifacts. - Design and oversee the implementation of the data platform. To be successful as our Data Architect, you will have in depth experience of implementing data architecture frameworks, delivering data management capabilities (data lineage solutions, master data management) and proven data integration and data platform design - You’re experienced in building logical and physical data modelling and data modelling tooling - You have a proven track record of architecting flexible data solutions to support operational and analytical use cases - You have a background and proven trac record in relational database design, development and implementation - You’re solutions focussed and demonstrate strong analytical skills - You have MI Reporting skills Including data mining using SQL tools. It would be advantageous if you have experience within the financial services sector.
