Stirling Council is looking to appoint a highly-motivated professional to support assurance and continuous improvement, particularly in respect of the Council’s arrangements for risk management, governance, and control. You will be a fully-qualified member of a relevant chartered professional body (eg, CIIA, CIPFA, ACCA, CIMA), and will have experience of working in a team delivering an internal audit service.
You will be able to plan, perform, and document audit work, and to write clear and concise reports that include appropriate, evidence-based conclusions and recommendations.
A good understanding of corporate governance is required, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with client Services to agree findings and recommendations in challenging situations.
This is a fixed term post, ending on 31 December 2025.
