Job Description
The Community Leisure Officer (CLO) is the lead officer for a large leisure centre, or network of smaller community assets within Live Life Aberdeenshire. In our leisure centres, the CLO is responsible for the day to day performance, staff, and customer experience. You will be based in the venue, supported where required by coordinators for swimming and venue, health and fitness, wellbeing and the Duty Officer team. Experience working within and managing the performance of community leisure operations is essential as you develop the leisure centre performance to achieve budget expectations and other key performance indicators.
We also have up to 3 peripatetic CLO posts, who's role is to fulfil the council obligations of facility management as the responsible officer, as well as liaising closely with communities and user groups of the many ,community assets throughout Aberdeenshire. This role is more mobile, and customer facing as we seek to rationalise the managed estate with the help of our communities.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
