Elmore Court is an award-winning wedding and events venue in Gloucestershire, with a family history dating back nearly 750 years.
We have a reputation for being the best at what we do, and we are looking for an enthusiastic new member of the team to join us as a full-time Front of House Manager.
The successful candidate must be personable, organised, hardworking, and have a passion for providing outstanding customer service. A willingness to work weekends is essential, due to the nature of our business.
Working closely with the Head of Hospitality, it will be your job to ensure that the business is providing everything required operationally front of house, to make sure our clients’ experience with us is seamless.
The Role
1. From the time guests make their way to the wedding breakfast, you will be the clients’ point of contact meaning a confident and approachable persona is essential.
2. Ensure drinks receptions and dinner services are run professionally whilst looking picture perfect.
3. Orchestrate evening festivities once dinner service has finished and ensure that couples and guests are supported and guided throughout the evening’s events.
4. Consistency is key, and it will be your job to guarantee that each of our couples receives an outstanding level of food and beverage service.
5. You will be running the food and beverage service for events ranging from 50 to 200 guests.
6. Show impeccable organisation and communication to ensure timings are met.
7. You will recruit and manage a team and train new recruits to the standards expected of Elmore Court.
8. Working closely with the kitchen team, it will be your responsibility to make sure that food is served exactly to the clients’ expectation in a timely and professional manner.
9. Populating front of house rotas and signing off timesheets, forecasted in line with budgets & forecasted revenues and KPIs.
10. On a weekly basis, reviewing all catering sheets relating to Weddings and picking up any operational queries with the Event Managers.
11. Work closely with the Bar Manager to ensure the whole food and beverage team is working in sync and providing outstanding customer service to our guests.
12. Ordering in all the uniforms required for front of house staff, all service equipment & all consumables as required, and completing monthly stocktakes for all.
13. Working alongside our Accounts & Financial Administrator, scrutinise all revenues & costs associated with any aspect of our guest services provided, to ensure they are within budget.
14. Ensure that all food costs, payroll costs, and revenues have been journalled against each event in a timely manner, to ensure weekly reviews can be held to identify any errors, concerns, and where things have been excellent so they can be carried forward.
The Person
1. At least 2 years’ experience working within the hospitality sector, at a supervisory or higher level.
2. Experience of working within banqueting will be beneficial to the role.
3. Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
4. Flexible approach to working hours as the role will involve weekend and evening work.
5. Possess the ability to lead, manage, and communicate effectively with all members of staff.
6. Lead by example through being a positive, outgoing, well-presented individual.
7. Excel in a team-working environment and be open to injecting a little personality into the role.
8. Conscientious but laid-back; we need someone who fits the Elmore mould and presents themselves as a professional.
