Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager - Food Manufacturing
Location: Regular travel across two factory sites in Milton Keynes and Tipton
Salary: £65,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus
Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is looking for an experienced HSE Manager to lead and drive their health, safety, and environmental initiatives across two of their manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy Implementation: Ensure health, safety, and environmental policies are aligned with company standards and regulations.
2. Safety Culture: Support factory teams in fostering a strong safety culture and embedding compliance into daily processes.
3. Audit Management: Manage customer and regulatory audits by overseeing documentation, procedures, and certification.
4. Incident Management: Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
5. Training Development: Create and deliver comprehensive training programs on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
6. Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and assessing the effectiveness of safety measures.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with leadership, management, and employees on all HSE-related matters.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance HSE performance, fostering a proactive and compliant environment.
9. Environmental: Act as the focal point for environmental sustainability, including waste and water management and renewable energy initiatives.
Travel Requirements:
This role involves regular travel between two key manufacturing sites in Milton Keynes and Tipton during the working week.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: NEBOSH certification (or equivalent), with additional environmental qualifications such as IEMA being highly desirable.
2. Experience: At least 5 years' HSE experience within a food manufacturing environment.
3. Expertise: Strong understanding of HSE management systems, environmental impact assessments, and initiatives.
4. Skills: Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
Benefits:
1. Salary: £65,000 per annum
