You will be contributing to our vision to be recognised as the market leading provider of Insurance Services to the UK’s property sector.Scope of Responsibilities:To lead and direct the activities of Knight Square Insurance in providing exceptional insurance services to its clients in accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority’s Statements of Principle and Code of Practice for Approved PersonsOverall management of Knight Square Insurance to enable it to work to agreed budget and standardsOversight of the process of negotiating renewal terms for insurance placed.Provide effective overall leadership to Knight Square Insurance colleagues and support them in their own career developmentPromote and secure new business for Knight Square Insurance working with key clients to develop opportunities beyond existing provision.Cultivate and develop relationships with senior leaders in property insurance partnersIdentify and provide continuing succession planning and training to Knight Square Insurance colleagues to ensure an effective teamProvide support and guidance to other Group companies as and when requiredTo conduct annual reviews and monthly one to ones with direct reportsManagement of special projects from time to time as and when requiredPreparation and presentation of monthly board report and annual business planEnsuring business compliance with FCA regulations or other such regulations that may be effective from time to timeExperience & Qualifications:Commercial understanding of both the business and the insurance market with a good knowledge of relevant property insurancesPrevious experience of working in an environment where there is a need for a robust level of compliance to industry standards.Experience of leading teams and delivering growthSubstantial property owners or real estate backgroundLeadership capacity and commitment to developing and coaching direct reportsExcellent negotiation, listening and communication skillsGood knowledge of FCA guidelines relating to private and commercial customersWillingness to continue to develop leadership skills and knowledge of industry through formal and informal learning, both internal to the company and external if required.Personal Qualities:Self-motivated and reliablePositive attitudeFlexible approach to workloadAbility to support, motivate and develop at all colleague levels, leading by exampleAbility to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customersAbility to construct written communications that are effective and meet business needsAble to manage changes needed to company workload and project manage with direct reports to ensure changing targets are metAbility to work under pressure when requiredAbility to resolve complaints effectivelyWho are we?Knight Square Insurance is a highly respected, trusted broker specialising in providing comprehensive insurance cover for property management companies, resident management companies (RMCs) and right to manage companies (RTMCs).
