Working within a prestigious client data centre, the position is very customer orientated and requires a strong focus on customer requirements. As our Data Centre Engineer, you will deliver IMACD and Incident Resolution Services within Workplace Technologies and Data Centre Operational spaces. The duties range from small alterations such as patching and fault finding to performing large-scale equipment and device refreshes including new installs, decommissions, moves, and maintain functions. Data Centre Engineers work on shifts that contribute towards providing support services 24x7x365 and report to the local Service Delivery Manager. Please note successful candidates would be required to work a shift pattern such as: 4 Days on, 4 Days off - 12Hour shifts (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am) Responsibilities of our Data Centre Engineer will include: - Change control management - Incident management and resolution - Management and tracking of Assets - Supervision and escorting of 3rd Party Vendors - Installation and decommission of network hardware and structured cabling - Compliance with ONNEC and client health & safety procedures - Compliance with Manufacturers, ONNEC and Clients Quality Standards - Compliance to Clients and Support Services approved processes What we’re looking for in our Data Centre Engineer: - Experience of working in high-risk environments and Data Centres - Prepared to travel - Sound Knowledge of Infrastructure Technologies & Networking Concepts - Competent in MS Office and Helpdesk/Service Delivery Applications - A reliable individual - The ability to work under pressure - A flexible approach to shift patterns - The ability to communicate clearly at all levels - Strong organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills If you feel you have the required skills and experience, click apply now to be considered as our Data Centre Engineer – we’d love to hear from you
