Hours: 35 per week Full time (Fixed Term contract until July 25-to be extended on successful tender of contract with Waltham Forest College Feb 25)
Job Purpose:
* To assist in ensuring smooth delivery of the partnership with Waltham Forest College, USW and EFL Trust including assisting staff, operational relationships and quality assurance, monitoring and maintaining retention and achievement, target setting and reporting in partnership with the Study Programme Manager.
* To assist in devising and delivering a recruitment strategy to ensure we build on the current study programme, including USW Foundation Degree.
* Undertake all other professional tasks within the curriculum team including recruitment database admin, co-ordinating Learner Voice Forums, survey feedback, Jack Petchey/Attendance Awards and Recruitment Events.
Job Functions:
Work with Study Programme Team Leader (and WFC Curriculum Manager/EFL Trust/USW where indicated) on:
* Assist with devising and promoting – on all platforms - advertising campaigns, events, and activities for recruitment and retention of current/future learners. Capture good news stories and case studies of participant development and individual achievement across all education programmes.
* Source and attend school and college Careers Fairs to market the Waltham Forest College FE and University of South Wales HE programmes.
* Collating and maintaining all information on spreadsheets, analysing data and trends and reporting accordingly in report and infographic form for project leads, Heads of, CEO, Board and Committees, external partners and other stakeholders.
* Assist with regularly monitoring and tracking student attendance and progress on their course and using the agreed Awarding Body/WFC/USW/EFL Trust systems, assist where required with follow up on any concerns. Setting up retention support by staying in touch through text messaging – phone calls and social media. Helping refer to Advantage/Life Skills Officer for 1-1 mentoring where required.
* Assist with devising, developing and organising attendance awards and other celebratory events.
* Attend appropriate team meetings that support effective communications, including attending weekly and monthly 1-1's. Lead a bi-weekly Staff Recruitment and Retention Team meeting, including monitoring events timetable and delegating activities required for action.
* Assist with monitoring the performance of the students and the subject area using data such as pass rates and student destinations.
* Assist with the creation of the WFC Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and the execution of the subsequent Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) to ensure that the curriculum area continues to progress to excellence, and other quality processes as required. Use the learner voice from feedback groups and course reviews, so that views contribute to the area’s self-assessment and quality improvement process.
* Work with LOFC Communications Team, Club Liaison Officer on promoting programmes – assist with arranging coaching and playing staff engagement and access to the Training Ground, Stadium and match days as required and appropriate.
* Assist with the admin of articulating student progress with parents and partners through termly reports, 1-1 tutorials, meetings/reviews-recording progress on WFC learning platform or other required platform.
* Assist with learners fully participating in the college football enrichment programme or other EEP, ensuring registers are taken and updating work experience/enrichment hours on Navigate for WFC.
* Work as part of a team participating in team or events, meetings or staff development training and sharing resources or information.
* Assist with monitoring and promoting the progression of students into a meaningful and relevant destination of further education, higher education or employment and to track destinations.
* Actively seek and undertake opportunities for personal development that will enhance skills, knowledge and attitudes and help to meet the strategic aims of the College.
* Attend all meetings and training events as required by LOT/EFL Trust/USW/WFC.
* Be accountable to the Study Programme Manager on a monthly written basis/weekly verbal basis
* Undertake all other tasks related to the success of the college programme and any other appropriate tasks requested by the organization.
* Comply with and actively promote all LOT and WFC’s policy and procedures especially in relation to Equality & Diversity, Safeguarding, Data protection, recruitment and management of finances.
* Complete all other procedural tasks as requested by the Head of Development.
