About the College/Department
Our External Relations team are responsible for promoting and raising awareness of our University’s brand in the UK and overseas. From creating all messaging and content for external campaigns and our website, to social media, and managing events – ours is a highly complex and expert marketing, PR and Internal Comms environment, key to making the University shine.
As a Web Developer you will join our Digital Marketing Team – the team supports our ambitious marketing strategy, focusing on enhancing student recruitment, customer experience, and brand promotion.
About the Role
The role will involve building and maintaining advanced web solutions, including the University of Derby's main website. You will support the technical and functional requirements of ongoing digital activities, ensuring optimal functionality across a variety of browsers and devices.
Under the guidance of the Senior Web Developer, you’ll have opportunities to plan and lead development projects, meeting crucial deadlines and expanding your skill set. You will play a key role in achieving our strategic goals.
The role will involve working closely with our Campaigns, Design, Publications, and College Marketing Teams, creating solutions that contribute to the university's success. You’ll also enjoy strong partnerships with IT and other vital digital stakeholders.

About You
We are looking for an experienced web developer with a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of current web development practices, ensuring compatibility and functionality across various platforms.
