We are looking for a Head of Data Governance and Data Management to join our team in London.
A bit about the role
The Head of Data Governance and Data Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for transforming and improving data governance practices across Aviva’s Customer & Marketing functions. The primary goal is to reposition the C&M Data Governance (CMDG) team as a data enablement function, aligning governance with data product delivery to unlock business value while ensuring compliance with regulatory and privacy requirements.
This role requires an innovative leader who can streamline processes, implement technology-driven solutions, and lead the transition from project- to product-based approaches, enabling efficient data management across the organisation.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a data governance leadership role, ideally within customer-centric or marketing functions
* Strong understanding of data privacy, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks
* Demonstrated success in transforming data governance processes to enable agile, technology-driven ways of working
* Excellent leadership, communication, and customer engagement skills, with a focus on building effective cross-functional relationships
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a dedication to driving operational efficiencies and regulatory compliance
What you’ll get for this role:
* National salary circa £110,000, London salary circa £130,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
* Bonus opportunity - 25% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
