We are looking to employ a sessional Addictions Therapist in an exciting role which is an opportunity to provide therapy to patients receiving treatment within our Private therapy services. It is a hybrid role offering face-to-face and remote sessions at Bristol Hospital and Park Clinic. The Care Quality Commission rates our services as “good”. You'll work with dedicated therapy teams known for delivering the highest quality care, offering specialist assessment, formulation, and treatment for clients with addiction needs.
Bristol Hospital (Stapleton, M32): Our Grade II listed hospital building is set in extensive grounds, just off the M32 and less than three miles from the centre of Bristol, with free on-site parking. We offer 77 beds over seven wards, providing a wide range of services, including Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), eating disorders, acute care, rehab, and recovery. Our collaborative environment fosters opportunities to gain experience in various services.
Bristol Park Clinic (Aztec West): Situated in the north of Bristol, near Bradley Stoke and Patchway. It is close to the M4, M5 motorways, and the Almondsbury Interchange. The clinic is easily accessible by car, bus, and train, making it a convenient location for both staff and clients.
Job responsibilities:
1. To provide specialist assessment and intervention to patients attending the outpatient service.
2. To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment, and discharge of clients.
3. To undertake risk assessment and risk management for individual clients.
Registration and experience:
Essential:
* Accreditation with BABCP / BACP / UKCP.
Desirable:
* Ideally holding a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an outpatient service, you would be able to demonstrate good relationship building both with clients and referrers, and be passionate in the therapy you offer.
This role provides successful candidates with the opportunity to work on weekdays, evenings, or weekends, depending on their availability.
