Role Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join this team. The ideal candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support the learning and development of students, ensuring they have the tools and encouragement needed to succeed. You will play a crucial role in facilitating a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
* Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them with their academic tasks and personal development.
* Adapt teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
* Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
* Support students during breaks and transitions, ensuring their wellbeing and safety.
* Collaborate with the teaching team to track student progress and contribute to planning and evaluation.
* Participate in training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members to support student development.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
* A passion for supporting students with special educational needs and a commitment to inclusive education.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.
