The Role
As one of our Heating Engineers, you will carry out the installation of gas fired boilers / heating installations including air source heating systems in our tenants homes and other Group properties. You will also be required to complete inspections and complete Void cap off to void properties.
You will also be required to complete inspections and reinstate the gas supply and complete turn on and test to new tenanted properties. Work activity will depend on scope of works required; work required will normally fall into the categories of tenanted & void properties, or as requested.
Skills and experience required:
ACS accreditation as a Heating Engineer
ACS Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 and Unvented hot water
NVQ Level 2 in Gas, Plumbing or Heating
Demonstrate experience working as a gas heating engineer
Experience of working within the social housing sector
Excellent communication skills
Experience of using electrical software
Experience of using mobile working devices (PDA’s & tablets)
Full, clean UK Driving Licence
The ability to climb stairs, ladders and enter lofts and other confined spaces
