Head of Fundraising Location: Salisbury Job Type: Full-time, Hybrid working 3 days in the office per week Salary: Circa. £60k My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Fundraising to lead their fundraising, marketing, and communications team. This pivotal role is part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and plays a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of their Trust, ensuring all fundraising activities align with their vision and priorities. Day-to-day of the role: Strategic Development and Implementation: Lead the fundraising, marketing, and communications team, comprising 16 members in the UK and 3 overseas. Contribute to the Trust’s strategic direction and provide regular updates and reports to the SMT and Trustees. Collaborate closely with the Trust CEO and SMT to ensure fundraising activities reflect the Trust's vision and priorities. Fundraising: Implement and be accountable for the Trust’s five-year fundraising strategy, targeting an income of c.£14m pa. Develop and oversee fundraising policies and procedures to ensure all activities are safe, legal, and effective. Foster a donor-centric culture within the Trust, optimizing supporter journeys across various fundraising disciplines. Budgeting and Reporting: Prepare annual fundraising income and expenditure reports and manage in-year income and expenditure, including variance analysis. Collaborate with finance teams in the UK and overseas to manage funding allocations for unrestricted and restricted projects. Leadership and Line Management: Provide strategic direction and support to the fundraising team, fostering a culture of excellence and engagement. Coach and motivate team members, helping them develop their skills and achieve their objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience: Proven senior-level track record in charity fundraising. Experience in developing and implementing successful strategies and operational plans for fundraising, marketing, and communications. Skilled in managing six-figure budgets and leading successful teams. Knowledge of fundraising legislation, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in digital marketing, including PPC & AdWords, and using CRMs. Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal and people management skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Creative thinker, enthusiastic, flexible, and approachable. Ability to work additional hours as needed for events and business meetings.
