We are looking for an Operator/Driver to join our team. The role involves operating a press machine and driving a van (no special license required) for about 75% of the 38-hour week.

Job Purpose:
To provide flexible support within the Press Shop and Warehouse team, ensuring quality and volume targets are met. This role will also involve supporting other departments as needed, contributing to the company’s continuous improvement and problem-solving efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Press Operation: Operate both automated and manual press machines.
* Quality Control: Perform first-line quality checks to meet set standards.
* Packing and Orders: Assist with order quantity tasks and packing.
* Material Handling: Load and unload metal coils and assist Press Setters with pre-setting tasks.
* Data Booking: Record accurate production data using Navision software.
* 5S Program Support: Participate in the company's 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) initiatives.
* Van Driving: Drive the company van as needed for transport duties.
* Safety & Reporting: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and report any incidents affecting production.
* Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to problem-solving and process improvement efforts.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Full Clean Driving Licence
* Previous press-work experience
* Ability to follow verbal, written, and visual instructions
* Good dexterity, numeracy, and literacy skills
* Flexibility for shift work and multi-tasking abilities
* Basic tool adjustments and progression tool feeding
* Willingness to train and develop further skills
Preferred:
* Experience operating Bruderer presses
* Warehouse experience
* Own transport
* PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) training
* Previous experience driving large vans
