You will be innovative and curious supporting us to design and develop robust backend systems that power our digital products and services. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative software solutions that align with our business objectives. Heres a taste of what you will be doing as a Back End Developer at Nottingham Building Society: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js. Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate backend functionality seamlessly. Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and manage applications on Kubernetes clusters. Write efficient, reusable, and testable code to ensure the reliability and scalability of our applications. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience. Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and best practices, leveraging new tools and techniques to drive innovation and enhance development processes. About you: - Proficiency in Node.js using TypeScript and JavaScript. Experience with backend development frameworks such as Express.js. Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture. Familiarity with Python and willingness to work on projects involving Python. Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
