Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth operation within the practice and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Duties
1. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with check-in procedures.
2. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to optimise the dentist's calendar.
3. Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information regarding services and procedures.
4. Maintain patient records with confidentiality and accuracy, ensuring all information is up to date.
5. Process payments and manage billing inquiries effectively.
6. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care.
7. Assist with general office duties, including filing, data entry, and maintaining a tidy reception area.
Skills
1. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
3. Proficiency in Dental office software (Dentally) applications and familiarity with dental practice management systems is advantageous.
4. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient records and billing processes.
5. Previous experience in an administrative or office role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.00-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 45 per week
