Vacancy: Private Client Trusts Executive /Administrator

Our Trusts & Tax team sits within the broader Private Client department and as part of its remit provides advice and support to clients with the creation and administration of trusts, ensuring a tax-efficient way to preserve their wealth and help them provide for future generations.
The Private Client department combines efficient legal support with trusted and experienced lawyers who together deliver outstanding client care across the full range of private client services.

The Role
As a Private Client Executive, this is more than just an administrative role. You will have responsibility for the set-up, management and administration of trusts, overseeing the distribution of assets within those trusts according to the wishes of the individuals who created them. You will also complete trust tax returns on behalf of clients.
You will have regular contact with both your clients and trust beneficiaries, in person and by telephone and email, as well as other law firms and related professional organisations and agencies.
You will be responsible for:
* Setting up trust accounts and maintaining trust records, as well as dealing with the relevant administration of such trusts.
* Managing the assets held within a trust.
* Completing trust tax returns.
* Overseeing the distribution of income and capital within a trust according to the terms of the trust.
* Advising trustees on their duties and responsibilities.
* Liaising with beneficiaries regarding their entitlements.
* Preparing annual trust accounts and tax returns.
* Transferring and investing balances on behalf of the client/trust.
Who You Are
Your role within the Trusts & Tax team is key so previous experience of working within the legal services profession or in an accounting or tax role is essential. You don’t have to have a legal background but experience advising clients on the set-up, management and administration of trusts would be a distinct advantage. A knowledge of trust tax affairs for private clients would also be beneficial, gained either from a legal or accountancy background.
You will:
* Have previous experience in private client work, accountancy or tax administration.
* Experience in relation to the set-up, management and administration of trusts is desirable but not essential.
* Ideally have a good understanding of the private client discipline in general.
* Be focused on and committed to delivering first-class client service.
* Have demonstrable experience of developing relationships with both new and existing clients.
* Be a team player with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
* Enjoy working in an environment that is highly focused but friendly and supportive.
* Have a desire to contribute to the future success of the Private Client department and the wider firm.
