As a General Manager in our Leisure team, you’ll lead operations across the Bletchley and Swan Pool Leisure Centres. You’ll oversee every aspect of the business to ensure outstanding service for our customers and achieve the strategic objectives of Serco Leisure and our partners. Your role will make a real difference by promoting active and healthy lifestyles in the community.
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Provide inspirational leadership to the site team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
- Drive commercial aspects, including fitness and aquatic sales, event bookings, and community engagement.
- Develop and implement business strategies, ensuring the contract specification is met.
- Manage financial performance, ensuring budgets are adhered to and targets achieved.
- Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, clients, and the local community.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, employment law, and environmental responsibilities.
- Lead recruitment, training, and development for your team to help them reach their full potential.
- Oversee facility management, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer experience.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…
- Demonstrable experience working as a General Manager in a single or multi-site operation in a similar setting.
- Expertise in commercial fitness and aquatic sales, business planning, and financial control.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills to manage teams effectively in a multi-discipline environment.
- Excellent client and stakeholder relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to plan strategically and deliver operational excellence.
- Experience in report writing, presenting, and decision-making at a senior level.
