The Role: An opportunity has arisen to support real estate investment management and asset management within M&G Real Estate. Key responsibilities involve assisting Fund Managers and Investment managers throughout the life cycle of investment including but not limited to sourcing, analysing, executing deals, ongoing administration and exiting structures and investments. The role would require significant involvement in our Irish sourcing and investing activities. Key Responsibilities: Fund / investment management analytical support: Creation and/or review of detailed financial models relating to investments. Evaluate, structure and negotiate (as appropriate) investments and restructurings. Provide written and financial analysis to support investments, refinancings & disposals. Make verbal and written presentations to the investment teams, Investment Committees, Problem Credit Committees and other relevant committees as required. Support Associate Directors and Directors to manage relationships with partners, intermediaries and sponsors, in relation to specific transactions and to develop pipeline transactions. Governance and product management: Working with product development on the management of fund extensions including but not limited to preparation of documentation, facilitation of shareholders consent, liaison with external lawyers etc Development and maintenance of desk manual, maintenance of User Developed Applications (UDA) and fund documentation General fund administration support: Ensuring relevant invoices are checked and processes with the help of relevant internal teams and third party administrators Raising Deals and posting trades for Investments (private and public transactions) on relevant systems Cash and treasury management to facilitate Fund Distributions / Asset repayments / Debt to equity swaps / ICAV subscription or redemptions. Facilitating KYC checks and investor onboarding Representing team in various projects Liaising with central operational teams to ensure valuation, NAV production, financial reporting and audit requirements are met with the help of internal teams and external service providers Oversight of Investment level performance calculations and investment management fee costs. Assisting in the Quarterly valuations process of the underlying assets and co-ordinating monthly collections of prices. Ad-hoc queries and reporting requests are analysed and handled effectively. Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Excellent analysis (legal and financial) and valuation skills which will include appropriate financial modelling skills. Ideally familiar with standard loan documentation and key aspects of transaction implementation including covenant setting, security taking and ongoing controls and restrictions An interest in real estate investments, as well as corporates. Relevant real estate investment expertise would be helpful but not essential. Experience in Fund administration and knowledge of Private Equity, Fixed Income instruments is beneficial. Confidence & excellent communication both oral and written is a must to communicate at all levels within the organisation & externally Strong and flexible work ethic, willingness to occasional travel when needed and ability to be effective in working both independently and in teams. Must be self-motivated with ability to prioritise own workload to meet team and business deadlines.
