Job description:
If you are someone who loves the technical aspects of aircraft and aviation, a career in airfield operations as a supervisor can be a great match for your aptitude. You will be responsible for supporting the safety, compliance, and security of the airfield. The airfield operations supervisors are the professionals who maintain the entire airfield area of East Midlands Airport by strategically completing tasks that align with both regulatory and internal requirements as well as ensuring the safe take-off and landing of aircraft. You will perform robust routine inspections, communicate with air traffic control, and respond to incidents, accidents, and emergencies in a safety-critical and unique environment.
Profile description:
* Will have previous experience working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
* Previous experience in aerodrome operations is required.
* Excellent comprehension and composition skills.
* Critical thinking ability.
* Ability to handle complex situations in a time-critical and unique environment.
* Situational awareness and impeccable communication skills.
* Ability to identify hazards and rectify them promptly.
* Comply with Aerodrome Manual and audit third-party handling against Airside Operational Instructions.
* A full UK driving licence is essential.
* Ability to obtain a firearms licence; the application must be submitted within the first 4 weeks of employment.
