About us The surgical oncology directorate are an integral part of the cancer and surgery clinical group. The cancer and surgery clinical group brings together a number of Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust's services that work collaboratively across the hospital and with our partners to provide excellence in clinical care, research and academia. The aim of this clinical group is to deliver the GSTT cancer and surgery strategy. The surgical oncology directorate has a number of services of national and international reputation. The specialties in the directorate are Breast surgery, Head and Neck surgery, Thoracic surgery, Gynae Oncology, Ear, Nose and Throat and Audiology. The lead patient safety and quality manager is responsible for the quality, risk and governance management and oversight for each clinical service within the directorate. Each clinical service requires specialised support and guidance from the lead patient safety and quality manager in order to support improvement and change.
