We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 Health Care Support Worker to join our team at Nevill Hall Day Surgery Unit.
The Day Surgery Unit (DSU) is a high turnover unit currently running 5 Theatres, specialising in a range of surgical disciplines including Orthopaedics, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Plastics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology and Pain.
The role is an excellent opportunity to gain experience supporting team members within the surgical setting.
Staff are expected to support other sites within the health board, when necessary, thus the successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility within their service.
You will be under delegation and supervision of a registered Nurse, the Health Care Support Worker (HCSW) will undertake defined responsibilities appropriate to their role in the Day Surgery setting.
Main duties of the job
1. To maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
2. To behave in a manner appropriate to the professional environment.
3. To work with directorate/Trust policies and procedures.

Qualifications
* NVQ LEVEL 2 in Health and Social Care in a health care setting.
Experience
* To be able to demonstrate knowledge of the role in your application.
* Experience working in a hospital environment.
Skills
* IT Skills (basic).
* Ability to speak Welsh.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of the role in Theatres.
