We are currently recruiting for a growing manufacturer with a major capex programme signed off to expand their factories. In order to support the influx of new kit, they need to appoint an Installation Manager on an initial fixed-term contract. You will be required to travel to site frequently and need to be based in Yorkshire. You need previous experience of project managing million-pound projects (ideally multiple concurrently) focused on machinery installation. Ideally, you'll be an engineer, familiar with special purpose machinery, although this isn't essential.
Installation Manager - Role and Responsibilities
1. Identification and provision of reliable solutions for all technical issues in order to assure satisfaction
2. Management of Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions
3. Tracking and monitoring progress of installation measurables i.e. time, cost, quality, labour
4. Preparation and presentation of project financials including accurate budget forecast cost to complete final cost at completion
5. Management and control of scope and contract changes with suppliers
Installation Manager - Skills and Abilities
1. A qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer qualified to HNC (experience considered over qualification)
2. Strong Project Management experience of machinery installations
3. Excellent at building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
4. Experience in a multi-disciplined environment
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills
6. Able to handle multiple concurrent projects
