Job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and dedicated internal communications team, working to create a transparent, engaged, and informed workforce. You will be at the heart of delivering a first-class colleague communication and engagement experience that aligns with our business strategy and values.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and maintaining the SMR intranet as the central hub for internal communications.
2. Crafting and publishing engaging content, including the weekly update issued through Poppulo.
3. Building and maintaining a calendar of internal communications activity, ensuring strategic alignment with our corporate priorities.
4. Developing strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation to source compelling content and insights.
5. Using your editorial expertise to craft stories that inspire, inform, and resonate with our colleagues.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Head of Internal Communications and other key stakeholders to ensure our communication strategies foster a connected and motivated workforce.
Within six months, you'll have:
1. Established a strong stakeholder network across the business.
2. Successfully managed the delivery of the weekly update and maintained the intranet.
3. Developed a well-curated calendar of internal communications activity.
4. Designed and delivered strategic campaigns aligned with corporate priorities, further embedding our SMR values.
To excel in this role, you should have:
1. Demonstrable experience within an Internal Communications role.
2. Proven experience ideally with tools such as SharePoint and Poppulo.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content.
4. A proven ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders effectively, particularly in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
5. A proactive and creative mindset with meticulous attention to detail.

Pay and Benefits
We anticipate a salary of between £48,000 - £60,000, along with a performance-related bonus, an attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions, and private medical insurance. You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.

Our Application Process
