Overview:
Pinehills Golf Club is New England’s premiere daily fee golf club with an active membership, robust outing calendar & high-end daily fee play. PHGC has 2 championship courses by Nicklaus Design and Rees Jones, exceptional practice facilities, private instruction area and a high volume golf shop. This position promotes the golf club and maintains service levels that provide a world-class golfing experience.
This seasonal position will run from the last week of March through the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The successful candidate will assist the Director of Golf in all areas including, but not limited to: the management of daily golf operations, including tracking play, control of the tee sheet, protecting and controlling club assets, assisting with all merchandising functions, assisting with managing tournaments, teaching lessons and providing other professional services to ensure an exceptional golf experience to all of our members, outing participants and daily fee customers.
The candidate should expect to work 40-45 hours per week fulfilling their Golf operations responsibilities. For the right candidate, there is a tremendous opportunity to be involved in our very active instruction program including PGA Junior Camps.
Experience Required:
The candidate should be enrolled or planning to enroll in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program and should be actively seeking PGA membership. Prior professional experience is preferred, but not required.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director of Golf in all aspects of the golf operation.
* Provide excellent customer service to members, outing participants, and daily fee players.
* Promote the game of golf through teaching junior summer camps & clinics.
* Teach individual lessons.
* Manage daily operations of the pro shop.
* Maintain golf facilities that are clean, safe and organized.
* Manage opening, closing and security of the facility.
* Daily point of sale responsibilities as well as scheduling tee times.
* Play golf and maintain proficiency in the game.
* Other projects as assigned by management.
* Continue to further education in the golf industry (Section meetings, education seminars, etc.)
