An exciting opportunity is currently available with an independent acoustic consultancy with offices in London. Specialising in a range of environmental services including residential development, planning, sound insulation testing, transport, licensing, industrial and construction noise issues our client requires a suitably qualified individual with considerable consultancy experience in a broad range of acoustic fields to complement an existing team of highly qualified acoustic specialists.
Qualifications
Qualified in a recognized technical discipline i.e. acoustics, noise control and or noise and vibration.
Institute of Acoustics Membership
Full Driving License
Experience
5 years+ Acoustic Consultancy experience preferably in a wide range of acoustic sectors
An in depth technical knowledge of environmental or building acoustics
Skilled in sound insulation and measurement
Good communication and client liaison skills
The ability to manage workload and supervise others.
Commercially aware and team player
Skilled in façade design to control external noise intrusion
Duties
Provide advice and research to local authorities, central government and others
Write high quality technical documents
Liaise with clients, respond to enquiries and develop the business within the acoustics sector
Identify new areas of work
Conduct Pre-completion and Sound Insulation testing
Provide Acoustic Design and Advice
Conduct Residential development noise surveys
Noise measurement, assessment and planning
Air Tightness Testing
Recommendation and assessment of mitigation measures where required to provide adequate levels of noise protection
