We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Client Processing Representative I to join our Derivatives Services Delivery (DSD) group. This role is located in Manchester, UK and will be working in a hybrid capacity. (3 days a week in the office).
What we do:
Derivative Client Processing - Performs transactional and custody support functions for derivative products.
The Derivatives Services Delivery (DSD) group is a global team responsible for supporting our clients’ derivative custody and accounting transactions. We provide analytics and reporting services, working to improve and automate transaction processing systems. It is a Centre of excellence maximizing specific knowledge around complex derivative products. Derivative custody and accounting activity includes swap, option, forwards, futures, collateral and cash processing.
The team provides processing, inquiry and resolution support for over 400 Investment Managers and Internally Managed clients through a dedicated servicing unit. Clients are mainly domiciled in the US and EMEA but some are also based in APAC, Brazil, and Canada.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
Processes account related transactions per scheduled events/client authenticated direction.
Answers inquiries and resolves problems or issues as required from internal teams and parties external to BNYM.
Assesses needs and suggests/promotes alternative approaches to service models.
Participates in testing to ensure that products continue to accurately and efficiently process high value transactions.
Break investigation based on an understanding and knowledge of processing the intricacies of the system.
Supporting the custody needs of our clients and their appointed Investment Managers for cash and securities movement and settlement.
Collating and distributing metrics and MIS.
Would be responsible for checking work of support team members.
Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
An interest in a career in financial services
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. University degree in a relevant subject will be an advantage
Proactive, focused attitude towards work and an ability to consistently meet deadlines
Experience in Derivatives reconciliations, trade processing, settlements and cash processing are all skills transferrable to this role.
Excel skills will be an advantage
