Commercial Account Manager Location: Remote Reports to: Commercial Director We are seeking a skilled and strategic Commercial Account Manager to develop and drive commercial sales strategies across key client accounts. In this role, you will focus on fostering strong, long-term relationships with customers, aligning proposals to client needs and pursuing new revenue opportunities. You will define the "Win-plan" for each proposal, champion the sales process, and manage contract negotiations and renewals in accordance with company guidelines. Your goal is to retain and grow existing business in the UK and Ireland for your defined customers and supporting key projects as required. Deal Management & Proposal Oversight: Oversee all UK & Ireland deals for your defined customers, managing the RFP processes and tender submissions for both new business and renewals. Proactively engage clients to identify service opportunities; ensure inclusion in RFPs, conduct analyses, and lead proposal development. Coordinate SGHA/SLA alignment, secure internal sign-offs, negotiate terms with customers and finalise agreements. Commercial Strategy & Relationship Management: Oversee the commercial strategy for assigned clients, ensuring alignment between customer requirements and Swissport’s service offerings. Act as the "voice of the customer" internally, bringing together cross-functional teams to support business retention and growth. Client Interaction & Leadership Engagement: Prepare for and lead regular and ad-hoc client meetings, including senior management discussions. Organise and provide input for Swissport leadership meetings with key accounts. Drive customer discussions and lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), addressing hot topics and tracking performance. Account Planning & Reporting: Lead annual commercial account plans with regular updates and maintain accurate Salesforce records. Coordinate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and provide input for account reporting and budgeting. Industry Experience : Experience in aviation with knowledge of IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreements (SGHA). Sales Experience : B2B sales experience as a Commercial Manager/Executive. Technical Skills : Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and a solid understanding of pricing, costing, margin analysis and contract management. Self-Starter : Demonstrate initiative by proactively identifying new opportunities and managing client needs independently to drive business growth. Time Management : Prioritise tasks efficiently to meet sales targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relationship Building : Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders, positioning you as a brand ambassador in a dynamic commercial environment. Goal Orientation & Problem-Solving : Results-driven, assertive, and skilled in problem-solving with a hands-on approach. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written command of English (additional languages are an asset). Travel : Willingness to travel up to 30%.
