Our client is a well-established and successful company. They are looking for a Workshop Engineer / Engineering Technician to work from their depot. You will be carrying out repairs and maintenance to a variety of Forklift Trucks / FLT’s / MHE / Material Handling Equipment / Access vehicles that the company hires out.
Ideally you will have at least a relevant qualification/apprenticeship in Vehicle repairs (e.g. Plant, Forklifts Trucks, HGV, MHE, PSV, or any similar automotive industry). Experienced Plant Technicians / Engineers will also be considered.
This role would suit someone with previous experience as a Workshop Technician / Service Engineer / Forklift Truck Technician / FLT Engineer / similar role where Fork Lift Trucks and other Material Handling Equipment is repaired and serviced. This role would also suit a HGV Technician / HGV Engineer / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / PSV Mechanic / PSV Engineer / Mechanical Fitter.
Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, day shift (45 hours a week).
Salary: £38,722 + Overtime at x1.5 + Profit share bonus

Responsibilities:
• To undertake the repair & maintenance of customer owned & fleet trucks on site.
• Carry out fault diagnosis to identify reported breakdowns.
• Repair of equipment wherever possible as a first-time fix.
• Ensure all damage and faults are highlighted to customers and recorded accurately on appropriate documentation.
• Perform cost effective repairs on rental equipment or all-inclusive contracts to ensure maximum profitability and return.
• Ensure necessary replacement parts and spares for stock are ordered promptly.
• Ensure all Company issued tools and safety/protective equipment are kept in a satisfactory condition reporting all deficiencies immediately.
• Quality of workmanship is maintained at the prescribed level.
Requirements:
* A Mechanical Engineer / Fitter / Mechanic with experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles, e.g. Forklift Trucks / FLT’s / Plant Vehicles / Material Handling Vehicles / HGV's / Coaches / Buses / similar vehicles
* Ideally you will have at least a relevant qualification/apprenticeship in Vehicle repairs (e.g. Forklifts, HGV, MHE, PSV, or any Automotive industry). Experienced Plant Technicians / Engineers will also be considered.
If needed, training will be given on-site.
