Food Production Operator Days
Site Location: Newton Abbot
Contract: Temporary ongoing
Rotational Shift: 12hr, 4o4o, 6am-6pm
Basic Day Pay Rate: GBP12.26ph
Due to continual business growth, gap personnel are currently seeking new team members to join the diverse, friendly, and passionate team at Yeo Valley. Based at their stunning site in Newton Abbot, we have several Food Production Operator positions available with immediate starts.
As a Food Production Operator, you will become an important part of a team supporting the production and supply chain teams on the site you are based. You will support the delivery of daily KPIs and targets, ensuring high levels of efficiency and food safety standards, whilst working as part of the site’s operations team.
Your Responsibilities:
* Work well within a team, playing an active part in team and business successes.
* Engage with daily challenges and opportunities and work effectively with others to overcome them.
* Work with site teams to ensure effective use of raw materials and resources, actively involved in improvement projects, activities, and events aligned to the team and site objectives.
* Demonstrate a commitment to health and safety by working in a safe manner, role modeling safety behaviors, challenging unsafe practices, rectifying unsafe conditions, and escalating to other team members when support is needed.
* Be actively involved and committed to the quality management system, ensuring all relevant controls and procedures are completed effectively to validate food safety controls.
* Escalate any food safety breaches or quality issues and ensure that any product below standards is identified and held, with issues escalated appropriately, resolved, and released.
* Understand and adhere to good manufacturing practices, company standards of hygiene, PPE, and dress code. Practice a 'Clean as You Go' approach, maintaining workplace organization and visual management standards.
