Bailey Partnership is an award-winning consultancy practice looking to recruit a Level 7 Apprentice Architectural Assistant to join our Bury St Edmunds office, starting in Summer 2025.
Established in 1971 and operating from 10 offices across the South of England, East Midlands & Manchester, we are a Building Top 150 consultancy offering Architectural, Interior Design, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Fire Engineering, Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, Building Services Engineering, and Town Planning services.

As an Apprentice Architect, you will be an integral and supporting part of the architectural design team.
Qualifications & Experience:
The successful candidate will have:
1. An Architecture honours degree graded 2:1 or above
2. 5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent at Grade 4 (or C) or above
3. Strong conceptual and design talent
4. Great understanding of the RIBA design process
5. Ability to work in a team, with colleagues across different offices and departments
6. Ability to share a portfolio showcasing skills such as sketches and drawings, paintings, graphic designs, etc.
7. Experience of Revit, AutoCAD and 3D software
Key Duties:
1. Work within the architectural team and assist staff both in the office and at site visits.
2. Work on a diverse range of projects including education, public sector, sports, and leisure.
3. Support the development of ideas and creative designs to meet client briefs.
4. Participate in the analysis of existing buildings and layouts, conduct feasibility studies, and present ideas for discussion.
5. Preparation of presentation materials to communicate ideas.
6. Develop the skills to research and select appropriate construction technologies, products, and materials to help realise designs.
7. Develop an understanding of buildings and construction technology.
8. Develop a creative response to architectural challenges.
9. Focus on creativity, quality and attention to detail.
10. Production and editing of drawings and 3D models using software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
11. Undertake training and professional development to maintain the necessary knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation & regulations.
12. Assist with administration duties where required.
13. Ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.
