The Role
This is an exciting time of growth for us, and we need an Affordability Analyst to help us continue this success and ensure that we lend responsibly, supporting our customers and comply with industry regulations. Reporting to the Affordability Team Leader, the Affordability Analyst will assist with the processing and credit checking of new business applications, renewals and additional premiums for affordability evaluation. You’ll be responsible for reviewing customers credit files via external credit reference agencies, reviewing customers income and expenditure to determine affordability as well as liaising with customers regarding IVAs.
You will also:
1. Liaise with brokers and customers verbally and in writing to gather any additional required information.
2. Approve or decline loans within your authorisation guidelines.
3. Make recommendations to underwriters in respect of applications and agreements.
4. Assist with incoming broker and customer enquiries, proactively resolving queries or referring to underwriters.
5. Work within service levels, ensuring that you participate in group tasks or projects.

To be considered as our Affordability Analyst you will need:
1. The ability to work well within a team and build effective relationships.
2. You should be able to prioritise your workload and work methodically.
3. You’ll have an eye for detail and be able to spot errors.
4. You’re confident in following processes to aid decision making.
5. A background in affordability would be beneficial to your application; however isn’t required.
