An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Capital Projects Team as part of York Teaching Hospital Facilities Management LLP, with the newly created role of Capital Project Support Officer, where the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting with the delivery of projects across the Trust's portfolio of sites. Working under the direction of the Head of Capital Projects you will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of projects by supporting the Project Management Office with a range of duties, including minute taking, project board support and stakeholder engagement. This role is one which a individual can develop project management skills and experience in project delivery. You will also engage regularly with stakeholders therefore effective communication is important. The successful candidate will have experience in a project support role and working in a busy office environment. The role will include using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel; therefore, advanced keyboard skills are required. Main duties of the job The Capital Project Support Officer will act as a key role within the Project Management Office. The post holder will undertake the following main duties: Stakeholder engagement by being the key point of contact for project stakeholders e.g. being the first point of contact and directing queries accordingly. Administration of projects i.e. minute taking, action logs, scheduling of meetings etc. Preparation of project relevant documents i.e. room data sheet, equipment schedules and technical drawings. Assist in the delivery of complex project plans and activities, such as raising purchase orders and receipting invoices. Assist the Capital Project's Team ensuring all project communications are clear, concise and timely. Diary management and forward planning of projects, considering financial considerations, and clinical activities for example. The post holder will be based in a busy office environment with several other colleagues. There may be times when the role requires the post to visit departments and wards within the hospital.
