The material planner's responsibilities are to ensure supply of materials to meet the production schedule and minimum stock levels, ensuring operational and production continuity.Maintains strong relationships both internally and externally to ensure supply of materials meets requirements.Key Responsibilities
1. Reporting to Production manager to ensure achievement of weekly production plan
2. Control the supply of materials/components to meet production requirements and minimum stock levels
3. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate processes for material delivery from supplier to point of fit
4. Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
5. Day-to-day order management and management of deliveries
6. Take follow up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production
7. Actively contribute to the development and support of material planning processes
8. Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas of improvement
9. Monitor the integrity of Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy
